The Lazarex Cancer Foundation still has race bibs available through Team for Life for the Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend 10k run taking place August 31 through September 1 in Anaheim, California. Runners were provided with the choice to tackle the half marathon, the 10k, or both through the Disney Dumbo Dare Challenge. All race events sold out to the general public in hours with 25,000 registrants, but a few 10k bibs are still available for this exclusive race for those who become a Team for Life member. Team for Life members have a unique opportunity to enter this sold out race to raise funds to support the Lazarex Cancer Foundation. This foundation gives end stage cancer patients another chance at life through FDA approved clinical trials. Lazarex Cancer Foundation helps these patients by reimbursing medical expenses associated with participating in a trial as well as providing funds for a support person to go with the patient to the trial. This financial support is critical to cancer patients who often cannot afford the out of pocket expenses associated with clinical trial participation. 100% of individual donations godirectly to the patients.
As a Team for Life member, you pledge to raise $650.00 for the 10k run. In addition to the satisfaction meeting your fundraising and training goals provide, you will receive Team for Life perks such as a one-day pass to a single Disney park, waived race fees, free admission to the pre-race pasta party (guests and friends attend for a small fee), a 2013 Disneyland® Official Race Shirt, a 2013 Disneyland® Official Finisher’s Medal, a Lazarex technical race day T-shirt. The Membership fee for Team for Life is $50.00 for the 10k which counts toward your fundraising goal.
To help you spread the word and meet your fundraising goal, Team for Life provides you with your own website URL for convenient collection of funds from friends and family around the world.
